Welcome

This blog was created in order for me to brag about my perfect son. :) A lot of friends and family members are not close enough to see Tyson everyday so I update this blog every few days [if not more] in order for all of you to "watch" him grow and keep up with his learning and accomplishments. Hope you enjoy!!

Your 2 Year Old

Two-year-olds give the biggest hugs, flash the biggest smiles, and yes, throw the loudest, most spectacular tantrums. Because they live in the moment, their feelings are especially transparent. It's tempting to want to keep things happy for your child at all times. But it's also important for her to experience emotions like sadness, frustration, and anger without always being "rescued" by Mom or Dad, so she can learn to cope better with small setbacks.

So i was walking through the mall with my friend last week and we were passing this little photograph booth and this lady stopped us and was like "let me take a picture of the baby you get a 13X11 for free only pay $10 sitting fee!" I was thinking 'I'd pay $10 for a cute little picture of Tyson" since it wa sone of those things where you dress them old style clothing and the color of the photo is all light. So she hands us some clothes and send us to this little closed off section to change him. We change him and he looks o-so-cute!!! well we bring him out and they place him in the background and start taking pictures.. We do a few different poses of course shouting at him, calling his name, making noises...of course all of this going on in the center of the mall mind you. Well people are passing by watching, helping us get Tyson's attention. When they finished the hand us a card and say pick up the pictures next friday. After I left I was thinking 'Do i even get to pick what pose I want for t he 13X11 or they obviously pick one for me'... Well I work Fridays as well as the weekend so I sent my mom today to go pick up the pictures.....I guess they had every pose laid out on the counter in all different sizes.. 8X10's, 5X7's, wallets... well being a Grandmother... my mom ended up buying them all. So that $10 I spent turned into over $100 for my mom. She then thought I plotted to have her pick them up assuming she'd get them all. I had NO IDEA they'd print them all up like that. I was assuming after I got there that maybe they'd want me to buy more but I didnt know they'd already have them printed up. So one week later and over $110 later we have these ADORABLE little pictures of Tyson. How could anyone not buy them all? But i can say, I'm glad my mom was the one at the mall and not me!

Standing Tall

He's accomplished something new! He's probably been yearning to do it there just hasnt been anything to grab on to and pull up on. As soon as we got this little table he was instantly standing and now always pulling himself up on things. He is such a little rugrat now. Always into EVERYTHING or at least wanting to be into everything... i can tell he's starting to get spoiled now... and I'm sure its Grandma's fault. Of course lucky grandma's get to have no rules let the baby do whatever he wants, pleases him so he doesn't cry and then hand him back to mommy and daddy spoiled rotten. He definately has his little tantrum moments now. STILL the cutest little baby I have ever laid eyes on though...spoiled or not.

He makes all these cute little funny faces now all the time. Learning how to use his expressions and tounge and everything... so cute... he's does this little smacking thing with his mouth where he smacks adn sticks his tounge out.... lately he just constantly sticks his tounge out. Or of course, everyone that's ever held him has probably witnessed his kisses... full on slobber gum your face. I love it though. Glad he doesnt have teeth still because I can take the gumming of my face or hand... dont think i want to know how teeth feel.

Walking might be in his near future... i have a vision that he's gonna walk before he can crawl properly. He still doesnt even crawl on his knees... he just army crawls but he's getting faster at it... but he's way more proud standing then he is crawling so i think now that he stands more he's gonna learn how to walk soon. Even when he's trying to crawl he tries standing while he's on all fours all the time. who says you have to crawl before you can walk? I'm just waiting for Tyson to prove them wrong.

Mt.Diablo

So as I mentioned in a previous blog I got a new camera [which btw I am constantly taking pictures now everywhere I go]. Well My friend Chelsea and Jessica have a similar camera so we all got excited and wanted to go somewhere to take pictures. We all like taking nice pictures of scenary and sunsets and flowers and such. Well when I got to chelsea's house she had seen Tyson in a while so it became a mini photo shoot. We became mini paparazzi to him. We were both sitting on the ground just taking tons of pictures of him. I got some really cute ones though. Especially some close ups of his adorable face.
So we just started driving around unsure of where we wanted to go. We headed off to Blackhawk and passed by a few HUGE homes. Very pretty area but we couldnt find where to really stop. All of a sudden we see a sign for Mt. Diablo. I thought it was just a park with the same name because I knew Mt.Diablo was close but I had NO IDEA it was in my backyard. [Well in Blackhawk's backyard]. We start driving up the mountain...stopped a few times to take some scenary pictures and finally entered the state park. We got out and took some walks just taking pictures of the trees and plant life as well as some group pics.
I finally took some time to read the manual a little bit so I could get a feel of how all the function worked and what they were for. Let's just say I didnt get to far before I started getting confused. I need to do that on a different day but I did get a little bit of info out of it. SO I played around a little bit with focusing and apperature and stuff. But I had to be very careful because one small change could change things for the worse when comes time to take a picture that's in a different setting.
Being out in the middle of a mountain got a little challenging with Tyson. We had his stroller but treking it thought dirt and sticks got rough a few times. He probably thought his ride was on hydrolics. LOL! Changing his diaper on a picnic table probably wasnt a pleasant sight for some passerbys. I got the cutest picture of him crying though. I know, it sounds mean to take pictures of him crying but it's SO darn CUTE!!! it's hard not to just want to watch his little sad face. I feel bad sometimes because all I can do is laugh. IT'S SO ADORABLE!!!
Before it got too dark we wanted to try and get to the top of the mountain so we could take some good sunset pictures. We started driving and if you could only see what was out the window. Just cliffs almost all the way up. I was holding my breathe the entire time. Just a little afraid of heights. AND my seatbelt was broken so I was just praying the whole way up. Not counting that the road was one lane each direction and very curvy. We didnt quite make it to the top becuase it was getting too dark and we were going to miss the sunset so we stoped where a bunch of other cars stopped and got out to take some awesome pictures. I got two lenses with my camera. The second one zooms in really far. So i zoomed in far adn got a great picture of the sun. It was so bright though I couldnt even look in the camera to take it. It was blinding me. But hte picture came out really cool. I love sunsets. It was a long day for Tyson so he slept the whole weay down the hill and the whole way home. At least the way down wasn't as scary for me. Although
I did keep praying :) There will be plenty of good picture journeys a
head so keep an eye out!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

It is over,
Another year gone,
New wishes been granted-
And lessons been drawn.

New hope for tomorrow,
For peace in our time,
New oceans to traverse,
And mountains to climb.

No time for regretting
The days which have passed,
Just counting my blessings,
The list is quite vast.

A new year beginning,
My hope is reborn,
No time for the past now-
Or feeling forlorn.

I'm here and I'm happy,
And I'm feeling so good,
And all that seemed muddled
is now understood.

I'm greatly surrounded
By an aura of calm,
It's soothing my spirit,
Like a gentle sweet balm.

And I'd just like to wish you,
A time without fear,
As we're gently approaching
Another new year.

I pray it's a good one,
For you and your kin,
May the days which are coming
Offer peace from within.

And so as we're waving
The old year goodbye,
May we let out the bad things,
Like a soft gentle sigh.

Embracing the new year,
With it's blessings untold,
May it be just a good one..
As we watch it unfold.

A year of much kindness,
Without any fear,
My tenderest wishes...
For a Happy New Year!
