Welcome

This blog was created in order for me to brag about my perfect son. :) A lot of friends and family members are not close enough to see Tyson everyday so I update this blog every few days [if not more] in order for all of you to "watch" him grow and keep up with his learning and accomplishments. Hope you enjoy!!

Your 2 Year Old

Two-year-olds give the biggest hugs, flash the biggest smiles, and yes, throw the loudest, most spectacular tantrums. Because they live in the moment, their feelings are especially transparent. It's tempting to want to keep things happy for your child at all times. But it's also important for her to experience emotions like sadness, frustration, and anger without always being "rescued" by Mom or Dad, so she can learn to cope better with small setbacks.

Christmas/Hannukah Tree

We picked up our Christmas tree the other day. Its the first time I have had a real tree in YEARS. My mom got a fake tree a while ago so I havent gotten to go out and look for a tree in a long time. I didnt even know what to look for and didnt realize how expensive they are. We went to this one place by our house first and I found a tree that was calling me that was in our price range. Justin wanted a taller one though and with height comes more money u have to pay. Men and their egos with the big trees. lol. So we decided we would just look around and just in case we remembered where this tree was in case we wanted to come back and get it.

We ended up going to a tree place in Sherman Oaks off Ventura and Hazletine but it was raining and I didnt want to get out of the car. Justin decided he was still going to look. He called me in th e car and said "You want to know what tree we're getting?... its a noble and its originally $80...you want to know how much we're getting it for?... $39" I told him to just GET IT! Noble's are the most expensive trees because they are generally the best looking so we couldnt walk away with a deal like that. It was raining and the guy wasnt getting any sales so he gave us that spectacular deal. We tied the tree up to the car and headed home. The tree was a pretty good tree. It had its bad sides which I should have gotten out of the car to look at before we got it but overall I love it and with the deal we got who could pass. And it was tall enough to make Justin happy.

We unloaded but then needed to go ornament shopping. Boy was that an ordeal. I really loved these turquoise bulbs but also the dark blue. We decided to go with Blue and White in order to decorate for Hanukkah as well. Then i figured we needed an accent color so I got a few red bulbs as well. We came home with like 75 bulbs. of course not needing all of them. I didnt even realize until we started decorating that it was red, white, and blue. I kept wondering if the red would match but of course it would. When Justin was putting the lights on, Tyson was afraid to touch the tree. I had to bring him closer so he know it wasnt gonna bite him ;)

Then he got excited to decorate. He started putting candy canes on it. He thought the ornaments were balls and was taking those off and throwing them around. Oh boy! I have a few more weeks of having to try and save our ornaments.

When we were done decorating our tree came out SO NICE. I love it! especially the colors.
